He was warned against landing because of an epidemic of cholera, but did so, contracting the sickness and dying there. Wilmot, against the advice of her brothers John and Simon, went for the horses and brought them back to Aylmer.3 
Anecdote It is said her two Miller sons took her to town (Aymer, i presume) and dressed her in new finery and had her picture taken.3,4
