He was alone at the time and managed to walk out before collapsing. He regained consciousness at the hospital and was able to talk to his wife before passing away about 5 50.
Born at Greenwood Lake, May 20, 1901, a son of Henry Mabee and Mary Conklln, he lived most of his -life in this vicinity, and before going to Kenvil about a year ago, was employed by the W A Hulse Company for twenty-one years.
He is survived by his widow, the former Emily W Pilgrim, whom he married November 5, 1928, two sisters, Mrs Nellie Murtha of Pine Island and Mrs. Addle Shetler of Port Byron, N Y ; and one brother, Martin Mabee of Monroe, N Y
Funeral services will be held at the Smith Funeral Home, 1 Baker Avenue, Dover, N . J, on Thursday evening at 8 o'clock. Interment will be in Warwick Cemetery Friday morning at 11 30 o'clock.13 
(Witness) Funeral30 June 1943 Martin Henry Mabee attended the funeral of Fred Leon Mabee on 30 June 1943 at Dover, Ocean County, New Jersey; Mrs Addie Shetler and Mr and Mrs Albert Shetler were called to Dover, N. J. last week Wednesday to attend the funeral of the former's brother. Fred Mabee. who met a tragic death by fire. He was employed by the Hercules Powder Co. in that city. He leaves his wife, two sisters and a brother. Funeral services were held Thursday with burial at Warwick. N. Y.14

Mabee, former Warwick resident, who has for the last year been employed at Kenvll, N J, in a defense plant.
Mr Mabee died in Dover General Hospital last evening from burns sustained about 8 o'clock that morning while at work in the plant. A plumber by trade. Mr Mabee was asked to fix a faulty valve in one of the rooms. The valve wouldn't close and caused an explosion, trapping him in the room and severely burning him. He was alone at the time and managed to walk out before collapsing. He regained consciousness at the hospital and was able to talk to his wife before passing away about 5 50.
Born at Greenwood Lake, May 20, 1901, a son of Henry Mabee and Mary Conklln, he lived most of his -life in this vicinity, and before going to Kenvil about a year ago, was employed by the W A Hulse Company for twenty-one years.
He is survived by his widow, the former Emily W Pilgrim, whom he married November 5, 1928, two sisters, Mrs Nellie Murtha of Pine Island and Mrs. Addle Shetler of Port Byron, N Y ; and one brother, Martin Mabee of Monroe, N Y
Funeral services will be held at the Smith Funeral Home, 1 Baker Avenue, Dover, N . J, on Thursday evening at 8 o'clock. Interment will be in Warwick Cemetery Friday morning at 11 30 o'clock.5 
(Witness) Funeral30 June 1943 Addie Mabee attended the funeral of Fred Leon Mabee on 30 June 1943 at Dover, Ocean County, New Jersey; Mrs Addie Shetler and Mr and Mrs Albert Shetler were called to Dover, N. J. last week Wednesday to attend the funeral of the former's brother. Fred Mabee. who met a tragic death by fire. He was employed by the Hercules Powder Co. in that city. He leaves his wife, two sisters and a brother. Funeral services were held Thursday with burial at Warwick. N. Y.6

Roberta was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She graduated from Middletown High School in 1955. She loved to be around children, and after her own children were grown she worked at Orange Ulster Boces in Goshen, NY in the childcare program. She will be remembered for her love of camping, hiking, going to the beach, and spending time outdoors. Roberta will also be remembered for her cooking and baking, especially her pies on holidays.
She is survived by her husband, Nicholas Mabee; her five children: Brian Mabee and wife, Ammy of Sunnyvale, CA and their sons: Nicholas and Michael; Keith Mabee and wife, Anne of Sparrowbush, NY; Wendi Mabee and wife, Colleen of Tuscon, AZ; Matthew Mabee and wife, Lorraine of Westtown, NY and their sons: Aaron, Evan and Kyle; and Brenda Kurth and husband, Fred of Greenville, NY and their sons Quentin and Ryan; and her sister and brother-in-law, Eleonore and William Scott.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 6 at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church St., Goshen, NY. The funeral will be held 10 a.m., Friday, September 7 at St. James Episcopal Church, 1 St. James Place, Goshen with The Rev. M. Carl Lunden officiating. Inurnment will be immediately follow the funeral service in St. James' Church, Goshen.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to St. James Church in memory of Roberta Mabee.4
