Col. T. M. Larsen will pay tribute to Mrs Rahn at the special service. Officiating will be Maj. Clyde J. Cox. He body will lie in state from 10 a.m. Mrs Rahn has been ill two months. She was publication sergeant in charge of the War Cry, the Army periodical, and a leader in the Girl Guards and Black Arrow organizations. Her interest in the Black Arrow honorary society had raised the local Wolverine Chapter to national prominence, Maj. Cox said. Born in Norfolk County, Ont, Mrs Rahn, 46, of 2135 Baldwin, had lived in Detroit 17 years. She became a member of the Salvation Army in 1933, after years of interest in the organization. Surviving are her husband, Harry; two children, Mrs Edith Ward and Harry Rahn, her parents, Mr and Mrs James Wilson, a brother and seven sisters. Maybee, age 78, of Farwell passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2005 at St. Mary's Hospital in Saginaw. Funeral services for Myron were held on Monday, July 11 2005 from Clark Funeral Chapel with Minister Jane Ellen Johnson officiating. Interment followed in Memorial Garden Cemetery. Myron was born December 23, 1926 in Isabella County the son of Maitland and Esther (Foster) Maybee. He married Joyce Myers on September 13, 1948 in Butler, OH. Myron was a truck mechanic for Lease Management retiring in 1989. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, hunting, playing cards and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Clare Eagles Lodge 3977. Myron is survived by his wife of 56 years Joyce; son Michael James Maybee of Farwell; daughter Patricia JoAnn (Larry) Perro of Dearborn; four grandchildren Joshua, Nathan, Keaton and Spencer Perro, all of Dearborn; brother Durwood (Josie) Maybee of Seminole, OK; and sister Donna Jean (Victor) Howell of Barryton. Myron was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers Dale and Virgil Maybee.7 |

Myron was born December 23, 1926 in Isabella County the son of Maitland and Esther (Foster) Maybee. He married Joyce Myers on September 13, 1948 in Butler, OH. Myron was a truck mechanic for Lease Management retiring in 1989. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, hunting, playing cards and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Clare Eagles Lodge 3977. Myron is survived by his wife of 56 years Joyce; son Michael James Maybee of Farwell; daughter Patricia JoAnn (Larry) Perro of Dearborn; four grandchildren Joshua, Nathan, Keaton and Spencer Perro, all of Dearborn; brother Durwood (Josie) Maybee of Seminole, OK; and sister Donna Jean (Victor) Howell of Barryton. Myron was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers Dale and Virgil Maybee.7 |

Maybee, 81 year-old Seminole resident passed from this life on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 19, 1930 in Barryton, Michigan to parents Maitland James Maybee and Mary Ester (Foster) Maybee. Durwood served in Korea in the United States Army where he earned the rank of Sergeant. He married Josie Francis Romines on June 5, 1948 in Vernon, Texas. Durwood was of the Methodist faith and was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (V.F.W.) and the American Legion. He had worked as a truck driver, factory worker, and worked for the state. The last ten years of his working career he worked for the City of Seminole where the couple moved 30 years ago from Webberville, Michigan. Durwood was also an avid fisherman. Survivors include his wife of 64 years Josie Francis (Romines) Maybee of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Helen Maybee of Fowlerville, Michigan, Bruce and Patricia Maybee of Muskegon, Michigan; one daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Michael Callihan of Foley, Alabama; one sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Victor Howell of Michigan; six grandchildren, Jeffery, Brian, D.J., Craig, Christopher and Stephanie; and a host of other family and dear friends. Durwood is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Mike, Virgil, Dale Maybee, and one infant brother. Funeral services were held Friday, February 17, 2012 at the Little Cemetery Chapel in Seminole County, Oklahoma with Rev. Bill Chesser officiating. Interment followed at Little Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.9 |
