(Mentioned) oObit | 9 February 1903 | Daisy May Mabie was mentioned in the obituary of of Warren Edmund Mabie on 9 February 1903 at Moline, Rock Island County, Illinois; Warren E. Mabie, aged 31 years, died at 1:45 p. m. Sunday at the home, 2614 Fourth avenue, death resulting from lung trouble and rheumatism. Mr Mabie was born July 18, 1871, near Camden, N. Y. He removed to Green Valley seventeen years ago. He came to Moline last September and had been employed since then in the Moline Plow Co. Shops. He was married to Miss Daisy Jones at Green River, and she survives, with two children. The young man's father, T. O. Mabie , of Moline and a sister, Mrs Albert Kane, living near Green River, also survive. The remains will be taken Wednesday to Colona and interment will be made in the Green River cemetery.8 |

oObit* | 31 October 1935 | On 31 October 1935 at Davenport, Iowa, the obituary of Daisy May Jones read: Mrs Daisy Mae Perkins, 56, of 1329 Eighth avenue, East Moline, died suddenly Wednesday evening after suffering an attack of apoplexy at 8:30 p. m. while preparing to go to a Halloween party. Death occurred about midnight. Mrs Perkins had resided in East Moline 19 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star chapter. Daisy Jones was born in Indiana Oct 21, 1879. She married Warren Mabie in 1898. He died in 1903. She married Austin Perkins in Colona in 1906 and the family moved to East Moline in 1916. Mr Perkins died July 5, 1929. Surviving are two sons, Thomas Mabie of Enid, Okla., and Edmund Mabie of East Moline, and five daughters, Mrs Dorothy Fee of Carbon Cliff, Mrs Virginia Livesay of Moline, Donna Mae, Enid, and Florence Perkins, all at home. A daughter Ada died in infancy, She also leaves her mother, Mrs Evan Jones of East Moline, and five brothers, Edward, William, Perry and Ralph Jones, all of East Moline, and Earl Jones of New York City. The body was taken to the Wendt Brtos. Funeral home in East Moline.13 |
