Mabey was born in Beverly, Mass, July 22, 1922, the son of Mrs Jennie (Wortman) Mabey and the late James C. Mabey
After attending Beverly high school, Mabey came to Portsmouth where he was employed at the Morley company and later as caretaker of Carey estates on Little Harbor road. He formerly was employed at the Rand Lumber company in Rye.
He was a member of the Universalist Church in Beverly.
Besides his mother he is survived by his wife, Mrs Ruth (McLellan) Mabey; three sons Frank E. Jr, James R, and Richard B, all of Portsmouth; two brothers, William H. and James A, both of Portsmouth; one sister, Mrs Natalie Mucci of Beverly, and several neices and nephews.5

She had resided in this area since 1967 and worked for many years at Davidson Rubber Co. in Farmington. Most recently, she worked at Palmer-Chouinard Co. She was a member of the cancer support group at Frisbie Hospital. She was the wife of Douglas Stevens. In addition to her husband, survivors include a daughter, Katie; a son, Jeffrey; her granddaughter, Emerson; brothers, Frank Mabey and his wife Dawn of Colchester, Conn., James Mabey and his wife Geneve of Bull Head City, Ariz., and Richard Mabey and his wife Patricia of York, Maine; stepchildren, Alan and Jimmy; five stepgrandchildren, Codi, Willy, Chris, Jamin and Morgan; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the R.M. Edgerly and Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main St., Rochester, with the Rev. William Shafer officiating. Family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service, from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Rochester Cemetery, Franklin Street, Rochester. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Gail Singer Building, Suite 501, State Route 101, Bedford, NH 03110-5032.8

She was a member of the cancer support group at Frisbie Hospital. She was the wife of Douglas Stevens. In addition to her husband, survivors include a daughter, Katie; a son, Jeffrey; her granddaughter, Emerson; brothers, Frank Mabey and his wife Dawn of Colchester, Conn., James Mabey and his wife Geneve of Bull Head City, Ariz., and Richard Mabey and his wife Patricia of York, Maine; stepchildren, Alan and Jimmy; five stepgrandchildren, Codi, Willy, Chris, Jamin and Morgan; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the R.M. Edgerly and Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main St., Rochester, with the Rev. William Shafer officiating. Family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service, from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Rochester Cemetery, Franklin Street, Rochester. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Gail Singer Building, Suite 501, State Route 101, Bedford, NH 03110-5032.3

In addition to his wife, Linda Mabie, other survivors include his father and step mother, Gerald and Dorothy Mabie, North Webster; two sons, Michael and Christopher Mabie and a daughter, Michelle Mabie, all of Wawaka, Ind; two stepsons, Leo Harnish, Millersburg, Ind and Brian Harnish, Crestview; two sisters, Phyllis Wilsey, Crestview and Frances Jones, Ligonier. Services at 11 a.m. Monday wull be at the Ligonier Church of Christ, with the Rev. Melvin Harrell, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Sparta cemetery, Kimmell.
