She was born Oct. 13, 1912 in Sperry, OK, the only child of Samuel and Marie Maybee. Bryle spent her early years in Merwin, MO. with her grandparents. She married R. Burgess McFadden on May 21, 1937 and although they spent some of their married life in areas other than Kansas City, her children remember the years of 1946-1963 at Quivira Lake, KS best. She and her husband introduced their children to fishing, camping, canoeing, swimming and boating. She was one of the founders of the Ozark Wilderness Waterways Club (probably the largest canoe club in the US).
She and Burgess were co-owners of the Shur-Start Battery Manufacturing Company. She loved her oil paints and ceramics. When they retired they moved to Mesa, AZ where they lived for 17 years prior to returning to the Kansas City area.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years in February of 1998, and her grandson, Jim Wesley in 1991. Survivors include a half-brother, Ronald Maybee of Lake of the Ozarks; daughters, Lois Laverne of Cleveland, OH, Connie Wesley of Independence, MO; son, Robert B. "Bob" McFadden II of Kansas City, MO; three granddaughters, Laura Laverne, Nancy Elhallak and Carol Laverne all of OH; two great-granddaughters, Leila and Riana Elhallak of OH; one great-grandson, Chritopher Wesley of KS; and one great-great-grandson, James Bradley Wesley of KS.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Byrle's caregivers; Kay, Brenda and Judy who took care of our mother when she lived with Connie, the fantastic staff at Carondelet Manor, and last but not least, our team from Grace Hospice who helped make Mom's passing a easy journey and gave us comfort and support. Cremation with services pending.8

Mr. Stroda owned one of the first television repair shops in Lawrence in the late 1940s and 1950s. He was involved in many building projects in Lawrence, and also operated the family farm northwest of Lawrence. He retired as a project engineer after 25 years with Hercules Inc., and later owned the Triple E Drilling Co.
He married Cauletaus Bone on Jan. 1, 1950. They later separated. She survives. His companion, Betty Stroda, survives of the home.
Other survivors include two daughters, Sherry Chappell-Dickens, Guam, and Vicki Stroda-Smith, Tulsa, Okla; two sons, Edmond Paul Stroda Jr. and Lawrence Paul Stroda II, both of Lawrence; a sister, Marie Jarboe, Florida; five grandchildren, six stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a stepgreat-grandchild.3
