Raynold Deuel, Jr., Schenectady, a brother of the bride, was best man. The bride's gift to her attendant was a gold lavalier and chain, while the best man received a gold necktie set. Immediately after the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Mabee left for a wedding trip to the northern lakes. They will be at home to their many friends in an apartment at 218 Clizbe Avenue upon their return."7,8 |

(Witness) oObit | 10 December 1969 | James Joseph Mabee was mentioned in the obituary of Thomas John Mabee on 10 December 1969 at Amsterdam, Montgomery County, New York; Thomas J. Mabee, 81, of 268 Guy Park Ave., was dead on arrival at Amsterdam Memorial Hospital this morning at 4 o'clock, where he was taken by GAVAC after being stricken at his home. Mr. Mabee was born in Amsterdam on Oct. 17, 1888, the son of James N. and Anna Waterstreet Mabee. A plumber by trade, and a member, of the Plumbers' Union, he was first associated with his father in a plumbing shop on former Spring Street, then in 1914, became employed by various out of state construction companies. He returned to Amsterdam seven years' ago. Survivors include his wife, the former Agnes Sigerer, to whom he was married on July 4, 1911; one son. James J. Mabee, Schenectady; three grandchildren, Mrs. Richard Patrick, Westmere; Thomas Mabee, Selkirk, and Richard Mabee, Colonie; and six great-grandchildren; also a brother, William Mabee, Glen Wild; two sisters, Mrs. George Adams and Miss Ritie Mabee, both of Amsterdam; and several nieces and nephews.11 |

(Witness) oObit | 30 January 1957 | She was mentioned in the obituary of Douglass Walter Mabee on 30 January 1957; Douglass Walter Mabee, 77, of 43 Fifth avenue, Saratoga Springs, and Del Ray Beach, Fla., died 2:45 p.m. Saturday in the Saratoga Hospital after a long Illness. Born in Ballston Spa, Jan. 8, 1880, the son of Douglass Williams and Florence West Mabee, Mr. Mabee was vice-president and director of Adirondack Trust Co. of Saratoga at the time of his death. He was formerly president of Marvin Neitzel Corp. of Troy and director of National Folding Box Co., New Haven, Conn. He was also past president and member of Saratoga Golf club and a member of Gulf Stream Bath and Tennis club, Del Ray Beach, Fla. He was a member of the Saratoga. Reading rooms, Sons of the American Revolution, a Masonic fraternity and Bethesda Episcopal Church. Mr. Mabee is survived by his wife, Mrs. Viola Thompson Butler Mabee, whom he married March 11, 1950. He was the husband of the late Mrs. Edna Louise Marvin Mabee, who died in 1949. He Is survived by his wife; a daughter, Edna Louise Smith of Hartford, Conn; a son, Douglass William Mabee of Rye; a brother, David Walton Mabee and a sister, Mrs. Charles V. Furness, both of New Haven, Conn; another brother, Alfred Mabee of Albany; two other sisters, Mrs. William P. Boone, Knoxville, Tenn., and Mrs. Ranulf Compton, Del Ray Beach, Fla; three stepsons, John Prentiss Butler, Schenectady; Walter Thompson Butler, Del Ray Beach, Fla., and Lieutenant William R. Butler, USA, Fort Bennington, Ga. and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held tomorrow, 11:30 a.m., at the Bethesda Episcopal Church, Saratoga Springs. Friends and relatives may visit the residence tonight. Burial will be in Greenridge Cemetery, Saratoga.7 |

oObit | The obituary of Marlene Theresa Mabie read: Marlene M. Wolf, 86 of Lower Gwynedd, PA died peacefully on June 2, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Edwin P. Wolf. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on August 30, 1934 to the late Walter W. and Marie A. (Campetti) Mabie. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Marlene was a devout member of St. Alphonsus Church in Maple Glen, PA. She volunteered at North Penn Hospital in the Maternity Suite. Marlene worked at Ambler Fashion where she made many friends. She is survived by her daughters Heather A. Frankenfield (Bob), Holly M. Wilson, her grandchildren Eric , Zachary and Luke Frankenfield, Cody Wilson (Megan McMann), Caitlyn Ovind (Michael), her great-grandchildren Kayden and Kylee Wilson, Mila Ovind, and her brother Stephen Mabie (Nancy). Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 11:00AM at St. Alphonsus Church, 33 Conwell Drive, Maple Glen, PA 19002. The Viewing will be from 10:00-11:00AM at the Church. Interment will be in George Washington Memorial Park. |
