(Mentioned) oObit24 October 1947 Kenneth Whiting Mabie was mentioned in the obituary of of Charles Henry Mabie on 24 October 1947 at Hackensack, New Jersey; Charles Mabie, retired contractor and a past president of the Maywood Board of Education, died last night in Hackensack Hospital less than four hours after he was stricken by an appendicitis attack in the Hackensack Elks Club. He was a charter member of Hackensack Lodge 658, B. P. O. Elks, and in spite of his 78 years, visited the club almost daily.
Mr Mabie complained of a sharp in his side at about 5 o'clock yesterday and Secretary Hugh V Keenan of the Elks Lodge summoned his physician, Dr Arthur W Greenfield, who recognized the symptoms as a renewal of an old ailment. An ambulance was ordered from the Hospital and Dr Greenfield accompanied Mabie to the Hospital. He died at 9:o5 P.M.
In addition to his service on the Maywood Board of Education and affiliation with Hackensack Elks, Mr Mabie was a veteran of the Spanish American War and an exempt fireman.
He is survived by his son, Kenneth Mabie, of 309 Union Street, Hackensack, with whom he made his home, and by a niece, Mrs Margaret Stern of Teaneck, and a sister-in-law, Mrs Ethel Mabie.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday from the Ricardo Funeral Home with burial to take place Monday at the New York Cemetery on Hudson Street.13

(Mentioned) oObit11 December 1944 Gilford Sinclair Mabee was mentioned in the obituary of of Ella Blanche Comber on 11 December 1944 at Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; Mrs Ella Blanche Mabee, 64, a native of Selkirk, died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs Alfred Whitaker, Oakville, Ont. She had been visiting her daughter since last summer and had been ill only a few weeks. She was the wife of Gilford Mabee, of Selkirk, and the daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Reuben Comber, of Selkirk.
Born at Selkirk, Mrs Mabee spent most of her life there. For several years she lived on the West Coast.
The body will be sent to Selkirk, where funeral services will be held. Langrell's chapel, Selkirk, is in charge of arrangements.
Besides her husband, Mrs Maybee is survived by two sons, Spr. George, serving in Belgium, and Wallace, at home; seven daughters, Mrs Harold Shannon, Grandview, Man; Mrs Tom Comber, Toronto, Mrs Alfred Whitaker and Mrs Wilfred Knight, Oakville; Mrs Walter Simpson, Napanee, Ont; and Grace and Eunice, at home; two sisters, Mrs Earl Thompson, Toronto, and Mrs Dan McLean, Swan River; a brother, Arthur Comber, Winnipeg, and 15 grandchildren.14 
Death*22 October 1954 Gilford Sinclair Mabee died on 22 October 1954 at age 83.1 
Burial* He and Ella Blanche Mabee were buried at St Clement's Anglican Cemetery, St Andrews, Manitoba, Canada.15
