Mrs Maybee was born in Allentown, July 8, 1886, a daughter of Eugene and Estelle Ames Thomas. She was wed April 18, 1904 to the late Casper D Maybee. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs Doris Knecht of East Aurora; two sons, Donald E of Scio, and Clyde C of Washington, N.C; an aunt, Miss Lila A Thomas of Scio; and eight grandchildren. Mrs Maybee was a member of the Scio Church of Christ. Funeral and committal services will be conducted tomorrow in the Frederick C Mulholland Funeral Home, Wellsville, by her son Clyde, pastor of the Washington Church of Christ, assisted by the Rev Enos P Nay, Scio pastor. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery.2 |

It appears that he had hitched his oxen to a wagon which was loaded with hay, and in going between them to fasten the binder to the load, the oxen became frightened and started on a run. Mr. Maybee being felled to the ground, one of the wheels passing over him and breaking the temporal bone of the skull. He was taken up in an insensible condition, and carried to his residence, where he remained in a comatose state for about two hours, when he died. He leaves a wife and three children to mourn his loss.10 |

Hinkle, 94, of Beverwyck in Slingerlands, died Saturday, November 8, 2003 at her home. She was a lifelong resident of the Capital District. She graduated Weber College of Florida nd thereafter opened a boutique gift shop in North Carolina. Her husband was the late Terry Hinkle, whom she married in 1938 in New York City. She was the devoted daughter of David and Leona Mabie Ter Bush. She is survived by her cousins, Dawn Frees, Rita Flach, Loretta Langdon and Helen Ingalls. Mrs. Hinkle always remembered her dear friends, the late Jessie Burton and Charles Carl and was thankful for Sister Kay and all her other friends. She was grateful for the friendships and care given by Diane Newell and her other health care providers. Mrs. Hinkle will long be remembered for her generous philanthropy in the community, performed with anonymity. She was sympathetic to all in need.
