Mabie died at his home Tuesday evening at about 8:30 o'clock after an illness of a few weeks. Death was due to an abscess. Mr. Mabie was born in Albany County 64 years ago and came to this town with his parents when 10 years old. Thirty-three years ago he was united in marriage to Emma Finch, who survives, with one brother. Clarence Mabie of Westdale. and one sister. Mrs. Theresa Park of Rockford. Ill. Deceased was a highly respected member of the Presbyterian Church.14

Death*21 October 1899 Edmond Robbins Mabie died on 21 October 1899 at Allen County, Kansas, at age 61.17 
oObit*  Edmond's obituary read: Died: E.R. Mabie October 21, 1899, age 61 years. Mr. Mabie was born near Hamlin, New York, where he lived until grown. He enlisted as a private with the New York volunteers, serving during the war of the rebellion. Coming to Kansas about 1867 he settled on the farm where his death occurred. He was married to Miss Clara Esse in the spring of 1879, who with their children still survive. Death resulted from a complication of lung troubles, though only sick for a few weeks had been ailing for a number of years. Mr. Mabie was a man well liked by all who knew him, sober, industrious, devoted to his family, and living as he died, at peace with all his neighbors. There were present at the death bed, besides the family, his brother Theodore of Rockford, Ill., his sister Theresa arriving the next day. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. S. M. Irwin Saturday morning at the Presbyterian church. The remains were laid away in the Geneva cemetery.18 
Burial* He and Clara May Esse were buried at Geneva Cemetery, Allen County, Kansas.19

oObit26 December 1907  On 26 December 1907 at Utica, New York, Orlando's obituary read: Orlando E. Mabie died at his home Tuesday evening at about 8:30 o'clock after an illness of a few weeks. Death was due to an abscess. Mr. Mabie was born in Albany County 64 years ago and came to this town with his parents when 10 years old. Thirty-three years ago he was united in marriage to Emma Finch, who survives, with one brother. Clarence Mabie of Westdale. and one sister. Mrs. Theresa Park of Rockford. Ill. Deceased was a highly respected member of the Presbyterian Church.17

Mr. Mabie has been a faithful and industrious employee in the camp for the past five months and was liked and respected by all. He met with an accident some time ago which caused a large loss of blood, and before his strength was regained was attacked with pneumonia, and despite the closest attention of Dr. Weston and the kindly care of his associates, died quite suddenly. His remains were the first interred in the newly chosen site for a graveyard at DeLamar.14

East Moline, Ill., Sept. 27 (1933) - Theron Orville Mabie, 86, who resided with a grandson Edmund R. Mabie, East Moline, since 1920, died at 6:30 last evening in Moline City Hospital, where he recently underwent an operation. Mr. Mabie was born in Albany, NY, August 23, 1847. He was the son of Stephen George and Phoebe Jane Robbins Mabie. He was married to Cora Kane at Taberg, NY December l, 1869. Mr. Mabie moved to Green River, Ill. in 1886 where he engaged in the cheese manufacturing business until 1902. Since retiring from business, Mr. Mabie had resided with relatives, having lived with a daughter, Mrs. Albert Kane of Muscatine, until 1920. Preceding Mr. Mabie in death were five brothers, Edmund Robbins Mabie, Franklin George Mabie, Orlando Edward Mabie, Augustus Smith Mabie and Clarence Gilbert Mabie; one sister, Mrs. Mary Theresa Parks, and one son Warren E. Mabie. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Kane of Muscatine and five grandchildren. Thomas O. Mabie and Edmond R. Mabie of East Moline, Mrs. Cora Daniel, Mrs. Jessie Ehrlich and Carl Albert Kane, all of Muscatine, and four great-grandchildren, Amarillis and Theodore Orville Mabie, Marjorie Isabelle Bowen and Helen Jane Daniel of Muscatine. The funeral was held at Wendt Brothers Funeral Home, with the Rev. J. M. Jones of the First Baptist Church officiating. Interment in Riverside Cemetery, East Moline.15
