Mabie, 94, of Angola, Ind, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Mallory, 1227 Maple Row, where she spent the last three months. Prior to two weeks ago she had been in good health. Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock Saturday at the Methodist Episcopal church at Flint, Ind, where burial will also take place. The body was taken to Angola today, accompanied by Elkhart relatives. Mrs. Mabie was born Oct 22, 1833, at Dayton, O. Her husband Robert Mabie, died 37 years ago. She is survived by six children, the daughter named above; George Mabie, Mrs. Doan Somerlott and Alonza Mabie, all of Angola, and Will Mabie of Coldwater Mich., and Mrs. Frank DeGaugh of Hamilton, Ind. There was also a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.10 |

She was united in marriage to Robert Mabie, December 25, 1852. To this union were born 10 children, 3 dying in infancy and Cora at the age of 23 years. Mabie, 94, of Angola, Ind, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Mallory, 1227 Maple Row, where she spent the last three months. Prior to two weeks ago she had been in good health. Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock Saturday at the Methodist Episcopal church at Flint, Ind, where burial will also take place. The body was taken to Angola today, accompanied by Elkhart relatives. Mrs. Mabie was born Oct 22, 1833, at Dayton, O. Her husband Robert Mabie, died 37 years ago. She is survived by six children, the daughter named above; George Mabie, Mrs. Doan Somerlott and Alonza Mabie, all of Angola, and Will Mabie of Coldwater Mich., and Mrs. Frank DeGaugh of Hamilton, Ind. There was also a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.13 |

He was seventy-seven years old and had been in failing health for some time, but did not take to bed until Wednesday. Besides Mrs Hunt, a brother and sister survive, whose homes are in Michigan. The funeral will be held Monday at 10 a.m., at his late residence. Interment in the family plot on the homestead farm, near the Goshen reservoir.12 |
