She was born Aug. 13, 1910, in Attica Township, to Frederick and Bertha (Frederick) Mabee. She married Edwin C. Rogers on Aug. 25, 1932. He preceded her in death on Oct. 1, 1961. She later married Michael Krecke, who also preceded her in death on Oct. 22, 1996.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Lapeer County Extension. She was a lifetime member of the Michigan Bell Telephone Pioneers. She worked at Lapeer Regional Hospital and Oakdale Center until retiring in 1976. She was a Vanda beauty counselor for over 30 years, and enjoyed fellowship with her many clients. She loved to travel both with friends and often with her family. She made many trips to Lakeland, Fla., with her son, his wife, and two grandchildren. She loved parades, whether watching them or participating.
She is survived by her son, Robert (Sharleen) Rogers of Davison; grandchildren, Catherine (Ronald) Duby of Davison and David (Monica) Rogers of Woodstock, Ga; great-grandchildren, Cory Duby, Camden Rogers and Cassidy Rogers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Bertha Mabee; siblings, Mildred Potter, Grace Spiegel, Carl Mabee, Mary Putnam, Charles Mabee, and baby Gladys Mabee.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, Hospice Care in Michigan, or the charity of your choice.
Funeral services were Tuesday (March 16) at Trinity United Methodist Church in Lapeer. The Revs. Ralph Pieper II and Karl Zeigler officiated. Burial took place at Mount. Hope Cemetery, Lapeer.9

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs William Layman, Riceton and Mrs Wilfred Hughes, Regina, also a sister, Mrs McClellan, Lapeer, Michigan, and two brothers, Oliver and Fred, of Flint, Michigan.10

Mr Mabee spent his boyhood years with his parents at Greene, Ia, and attended the public school there. Later he took a course in a nearby business college and shortly after completing the course he entered upon a business career. He was very successful in conducting the business of a variety store in Green and Brooklyn, Ia, in Alexandra, Minn, and in Menomonie and New Richmond. He loved his work and gave himself whole-heartedly to its interest.
In Nov 1912 he was united in marriage to Angeline Stenerson of Menomonie. To this happy union one daughter was born, Miss Mary Gail. Shortly after he moved to New Richmond his wife took sick and died. He continued with his business and the care of his daughter and home until October of 1927, when he was married to Ruth Schnell of New Richmond, who became his loving companion and wife to him and a kind mother to his daughter. On Dec 17, 1928 a son, Roger Charles, was born to them, but died in infancy.
Although never united with any church he was a believer in the principles of the Christian religion and quite regularly attended the church services on Sunday....
Surviving are his beloved wife and companion, his daughter, Mary Gail, his brother, Fred L Mabee, Minneapolis; his three sisters, Miss A C Mabee and Mrs E E Hunt, Minneapolis, and Mrs J W Arnott of Belgrade, Minn....
The body was laid to rest in the Huntington cemetery....14

Funeral services for Mrs Arnott were held at her home at 10 am and at the Presbyterian church at 11 am. The body was brought to the George Watterson funeral chapel here Monday evening.
Mrs Arnott, formerly Myrtle Mabee, died Saturday at her home in Belgrade from a complication of diseases. She was born at Greene June 1, 1876, and spent all her early life in this city, graduating from Greene high school. She was married in 1909 to James Arnott, Waterloo, in which city they lived for four years before moving to Belgrade, where they have resided 21 years.
She was a member of the P. E. O. of this city and belonged to O. E. S.
The deceased is survived by her husband, two sisters, Miss Gayle Mabee and Mrs Ed Hunt, Minneapolis and a brother, Fred Mabee, Minneapolis.15

In Nov 1912 he was united in marriage to Angeline Stenerson of Menomonie. To this happy union one daughter was born, Miss Mary Gail. Shortly after he moved to New Richmond his wife took sick and died. He continued with his business and the care of his daughter and home until October of 1927, when he was married to Ruth Schnell of New Richmond, who became his loving companion and wife to him and a kind mother to his daughter. On Dec 17, 1928 a son, Roger Charles, was born to them, but died in infancy.
Although never united with any church he was a believer in the principles of the Christian religion and quite regularly attended the church services on Sunday....
Surviving are his beloved wife and companion, his daughter, Mary Gail, his brother, Fred L Mabee, Minneapolis; his three sisters, Miss A C Mabee and Mrs E E Hunt, Minneapolis, and Mrs J W Arnott of Belgrade, Minn....
The body was laid to rest in the Huntington cemetery....3

Mrs Arnott, formerly Myrtle Mabee, died Saturday at her home in Belgrade from a complication of diseases. She was born at Greene June 1, 1876, and spent all her early life in this city, graduating from Greene high school. She was married in 1909 to James Arnott, Waterloo, in which city they lived for four years before moving to Belgrade, where they have resided 21 years.
She was a member of the P. E. O. of this city and belonged to O. E. S.
The deceased is survived by her husband, two sisters, Miss Gayle Mabee and Mrs Ed Hunt, Minneapolis and a brother, Fred Mabee, Minneapolis.12

Mr Mabee spent his boyhood years with his parents at Greene, Ia, and attended the public school there. Later he took a course in a nearby business college and shortly after completing the course he entered upon a business career. He was very successful in conducting the business of a variety store in Green and Brooklyn, Ia, in Alexandra, Minn, and in Menomonie and New Richmond. He loved his work and gave himself whole-heartedly to its interest.
In Nov 1912 he was united in marriage to Angeline Stenerson of Menomonie. To this happy union one daughter was born, Miss Mary Gail. Shortly after he moved to New Richmond his wife took sick and died. He continued with his business and the care of his daughter and home until October of 1927, when he was married to Ruth Schnell of New Richmond, who became his loving companion and wife to him and a kind mother to his daughter. On Dec 17, 1928 a son, Roger Charles, was born to them, but died in infancy.
Although never united with any church he was a believer in the principles of the Christian religion and quite regularly attended the church services on Sunday....
Surviving are his beloved wife and companion, his daughter, Mary Gail, his brother, Fred L Mabee, Minneapolis; his three sisters, Miss A C Mabee and Mrs E E Hunt, Minneapolis, and Mrs J W Arnott of Belgrade, Minn....
The body was laid to rest in the Huntington cemetery....7

oObit*3 April 1934  On 3 April 1934 at Waterloo, Iowa, the obituary of Myrtle Elizabeth Mabee read: Greene, Ia — Funeral services for Mrs James Arnott, Belgrade, Minn, former Green resident, were conducted at the Presbyterian church here Tuesday by Rev F A Munneke. Burial was in Rosehill Cemetery.
Funeral services for Mrs Arnott were held at her home at 10 am and at the Presbyterian church at 11 am. The body was brought to the George Watterson funeral chapel here Monday evening.
Mrs Arnott, formerly Myrtle Mabee, died Saturday at her home in Belgrade from a complication of diseases. She was born at Greene June 1, 1876, and spent all her early life in this city, graduating from Greene high school. She was married in 1909 to James Arnott, Waterloo, in which city they lived for four years before moving to Belgrade, where they have resided 21 years.
She was a member of the P. E. O. of this city and belonged to O. E. S.
The deceased is survived by her husband, two sisters, Miss Gayle Mabee and Mrs Ed Hunt, Minneapolis and a brother, Fred Mabee, Minneapolis.4
