Anderson of Yuma, Ariz; a step-daughter, Irene H. Thompson of Clovis, Calif; eight grandchildren: Mark and Craig Thompson of Bemus Point, Terry Anne Koetting of Peru, Indiana, Thomas Maybee of Birmingham, Mich., Susie Robertson of Charlevoix, Mich., Jacquelin, Judy and James Maybee of Charlevoix, Mich; seven step-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Violet Newton of Mayville.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Chesleigh Maybee in 1980 and Sherwood Maybee in 1969. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.5

She formerly attended the First Baptist Church of Jamestown, and was also a former member of the Chautauqua Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, the Willing Workers and T.O.P.S.
Always one with a great sense of humor, she loved her grandchildren and her cats, had strong religious beliefs, and loved to read her Bible.
Surviving are two daughters, June E. (Royal) Briggs of Mayville and Bonnie E. (Gary) Bisbee of Cassadaga; five grandchildren: Royal Briggs Jr. of Chautauqua, Alden Briggs of Germantown, Md., Jody Altman of Cassadaga, Paul Black of French Creek and Christopher Briggs of Mayville; and nine great-grandchildren: Rebecca, Heather, Ashlie, Alisha, Nathaniel, Kristen and John Briggs, and Joshua Black and Kelsey Altman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred F. Newman, whom she married April 6, 1935, and who died June 19, 1980; and by three brothers: Del, Chesleigh and Sherwood Mabee.
Burial will be in the Christian Meeting House Cemetery, Arkwright.2

Mabee read: Miles Mabee, aged 77, a well known resident of Danby, died about 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the home of his son, Fred Mabee, who lives on West Hill in the Town of Ithaca. Mr. Mabee had been visiting his son and was taken ill with pneumonia. He was ill but a short time. Mr. Mabee is survived by his wife and five sons, Fred, Floyd L. and Herman of Ithaca, George of Danby and Arthur of Brookton.
The funeral will be held at 10:30 o'clock Thursday morning from the home of the son, Floyd L. Mabee, 410 East Yates Street, The Rev. B. F. Tobey, pastor of the Danby Congregational Church, will officiate and interment will be made in Lake View Cemetery.11

Mabee on 31 December 1912 at Ithaca, New York; Miles Mabee, aged 77, a well known resident of Danby, died about 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the home of his son, Fred Mabee, who lives on West Hill in the Town of Ithaca. Mr. Mabee had been visiting his son and was taken ill with pneumonia. He was ill but a short time. Mr. Mabee is survived by his wife and five sons, Fred, Floyd L. and Herman of Ithaca, George of Danby and Arthur of Brookton.
The funeral will be held at 10:30 o'clock Thursday morning from the home of the son, Floyd L. Mabee, 410 East Yates Street, The Rev. B. F. Tobey, pastor of the Danby Congregational Church, will officiate and interment will be made in Lake View Cemetery.7

Mabee, 89, of 610 Utica St, died Saturday, September 3, 1994 at Tompkins Community Hospital. She was born in Ithaca and was the widow of Paul Mabee who died in 1981....
She is survived by he daughter, Betty J. Harris of Ithaca, her daughter and son-in-law Pauline E and Myron M Saunders of Lake Elsinore, California. Grandchildren, Linda L. Burgess, Douglas Harris, Michael Harris, Cindy Standlee, Donna Standlee, a sister Mariana Egan of Charleston, S.C. and several nieces and nephews....
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at Bangs Funeral Home with Rev. Lewis Coffin officiating.
Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.9
