She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Walter Mabie; sister, Ester Ferguson and son, David Lewis.
Private services are being arranged by Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home 2097 West Alto Road, Kokomo, IN 46902. Entombment will be at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.3

Ludwick ruled the death a suicide and said it was due to carbon monoxide poisoning. He also estimated the body had been in the auto for at least two days. Sheriff's deputies said that a hose had been run from the auto's exhaust pipe through a window and into the vehicle. The victim had previously been reported as missing by his family. Born in North Webster Mabie, an accountant, was born Dec 13, 1922, in North Webster. He had lived in this area most of his life. He was married June 30, 1943, in South Bend, to Thelma Nutting, who survives. A June 1953 graduate of Indiana University, he was an Army veteran of world War II and the Korean War, serving during the latter conflict as a Captain in the Finance Corps. Survived by Family Also surviving are his father, Walter K. Mabie, Kokomo, his mother, Mrs. Mary VanCamp, Phoenix, Ariz; two brothers, Ernest Mabie, Mishawaka, and Eugene Mabie, Bedford; five half-brothers, Charles, Ronald, Roland, Joseph, and William VanCamp, all of Phoenix, and four half-sisters, Mrs. Bernice VanCamp, and Mrs. Bernita Barker, both of Phoenix, and Mrs. Ester Furguson and Mrs. Freda Lewis, both of Kokomo. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the Orvis Funeral Home. Services will be held there at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Rev. William Neece, pastor of the First Church of God, Mishawaka, will officiate. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.8

(Witness) oObit6 October 1997 Jean Margaret Rummel was mentioned in Orvan Leroy Mabie's obituary The Goshen News, Bristol, Indiana, on 6 October 1997; Orvan Leroy Mabie, Sr., 76 died at 8:52 p.m. Sunday in Goshen General Hospital where he was admitted Friday. He had been ill since July after suffering a heart attack. He was born Sept. 21,1921, in North Webster, to Eli Earl and Fannie (Snoke) Mabie, and spent his lifetime in the Goshen area. On November 21st, 1945, in Syracuse, he married Jean M. Rummel.
He was a fireman at Goshen Rubber for 32 years, retiring in 1988. The he also farmed part time for 40 years. He was an Army veteran of World War two, serving in North Africa, Italy and France and Germany. He was a volunteer for United Labor Agency Harvest Basket and was a member of Zion Grange.      
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Diana (Mrs. Henry) Brubaker, Bristol; two sons, Allen, Bristol, and Orvan, Jr, Granger; seven grandchildren; a great grandchild; and three brothers, Gerald and Eugene, both of North Webster, and Lavon, Columbia City. A sister. Gladys, died in 1928…. Memorials may be directed to United Labor Agency Harvest Basket." There was no service.5

She is survived by her daughter, Diana L. (Henry) Brubaker, Bristol; and two sons, Orvan L. (Catherine) Mabie Jr., Goshen, and Allen D. (Sandi Larkin-Hall) Mabie, Niles, Mich.
Friends may call Monday from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, where a service will begin at 7 p.m.
Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, North Webster, after cremation has taken place.8
