oObit*22 January 1942  On 22 January 1942 at Chilton, Calumet County, Wisconsin, the obituary of May Carlton Potter read: Mrs. H. L. Mabie, Fond du Lac, died at her home there Thursday, after a short illness. He was buried in Hillside cemetery here Sunday.
Mrs. Mabie was the daughter of Capt. and Mrs. O. R. Potter. She was born in the town of Rantoul and lived in Potter for many years. She was a great granddaughter of Major Potter who served with General Washington in the battle of Valley Forge.
Surviving are her husband; three sons, O. F. Webster, Fond du Lac; Earl Webster, Appleton; Rollin Mabie, Stevens Point; and three grandchildren.4 
Death*25 January 1942 She died on 25 January 1942 at Fond du Lac, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, at age 75.4
