Anecdote* Jules spent most of his youth with his uncle Charles Morgan. He married Willie Juanita Carpenter in 1928. They hadf two children Jules and Shirley. He was a talented tool and die maker, machinist. He had several patents for gear inspection & other tooling inventions.1

(Mentioned) oObit24 October 1947 Ethel M Mabie was mentioned in the obituary of of Charles Henry Mabie on 24 October 1947 at Hackensack, New Jersey; Charles Mabie, retired contractor and a past president of the Maywood Board of Education, died last night in Hackensack Hospital less than four hours after he was stricken by an appendicitis attack in the Hackensack Elks Club. He was a charter member of Hackensack Lodge 658, B. P. O. Elks, and in spite of his 78 years, visited the club almost daily.
Mr Mabie complained of a sharp in his side at about 5 o'clock yesterday and Secretary Hugh V Keenan of the Elks Lodge summoned his physician, Dr Arthur W Greenfield, who recognized the symptoms as a renewal of an old ailment. An ambulance was ordered from the Hospital and Dr Greenfield accompanied Mabie to the Hospital. He died at 9:o5 P.M.
In addition to his service on the Maywood Board of Education and affiliation with Hackensack Elks, Mr Mabie was a veteran of the Spanish American War and an exempt fireman.
He is survived by his son, Kenneth Mabie, of 309 Union Street, Hackensack, with whom he made his home, and by a niece, Mrs Margaret Stern of Teaneck, and a sister-in-law, Mrs Ethel Mabie.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday from the Ricardo Funeral Home with burial to take place Monday at the New York Cemetery on Hudson Street.9

The son of Isaac and Elizabeth Van Epps Mabee, Mr. Mabee spent his entire life in Scotia and Glenville. He conducted a blacksmith's shop in the town until ahout 10 years ago.
His only survivors are two cousins, Mrs. Robert Barhydt and Charles Van Patten.6

He was born in Pennsylvania November 20, 1834 and moved with his parents to Belvidere, Ill. He was married to Mary Jane Howe, Marengo, Ill. May 1, 1861.
They moved to Iowa about 54 years ago and engaged in farming in Butler county, moving to Waterloo in 1888, where they had since made their home. Mr. Mabie is survived by Widow, daughter, Clifton Mabie Keeler, Oklahoma City; a brother Jacob Maybie and a sister, Mrs. Julia Rhoads, both of Crompton, Fla.
The body is at Hileman & Gindt's funeral home pending funeral arrangements.4
