Mr Mabie died of a heart attack on June 29 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla, where he was a salesman of basketware and other hand-woven goods. He was born in Ridgewood 63 years ago and lived there until 1939, when he moved to Florida.
He was a charter member of Lodge 1455, B.P.O. of Elks, a veteran of World War I, and had written and published books on a variety of subjects. He had made an extensive study of stereoscopic.
Only survivors were a nephew and niece, Warren Sturr of Bellaire, Tex, and Mrs Miriam Van Heest of Midland Park.12 
Burial* He was buried at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Saddle River, Bergen County, New Jersey. Inscription "Roy Wallace Mabie, Michigan; Pvt Hq Co 330 F.A. 85 Div; World War I (last row are dates, but are obscured by grass in picture.)13
