oObit | 3 September 1936 | On 3 September 1936 at Holley, New York, the obituary of George W. Robinson read: The death of George H. Robinson of Murray occurred Friday, August 28, 1936. He had been in poor health for the past year but until a week ago was able to be out of doors so his death at the last was quite unexpected. He was born in Lewiston January 29, 1859, the son of John Robinson Payne and Sarah Bissell. At the age of six years he moved to East Gaines and the remainder of his life has been spent in various parts of Orleans County. On June 19, 1886, he was united in marriage to Miss Mary Mabee,who survives him, and this past June Mr. and Mrs. Robinson celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary. He also leaves four children: Edwin Robinson of Hulberton, Mrs. Fred Robinson of Lyndonville, Fred Robinson and Charles Robinson of Murray, and seven grandchildren. The funeral was held Monday afternoon from his home. Rev. O. R. Newman officiated and burial wasmade in Sandy Creek Cemetery.4 |
