oObit*20 December 2011  On 20 December 2011 at San Francisco, California, the obituary of John Francis Mabey read: John F. Mabey John passed away peacefully the morning of Dec. 13, 2011. Loving husband of Carmen, adored father of Jennifer (Bill) Tucker, Edward (Paula) Mabey, Nancy (Bill) Herrmann, John (Karen) Mabey, Kathleen O'Brien, and the late Michael Mabey and Betty Ann McLaughlin. John is also survived by many relatives, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, John became a Special Agent of the FBI, a career of which he was very proud. He worked in the FBI's New York office, Washington D.C. field office and the San Francisco office, from which he retired in 1977. He enjoyed watching Notre Dame football and basketball, but above all he was a fiercely loyal Giants fan. Their World Series win in 2010 was special to him. John will be sorely missed and fondly remembered. Private services were held on Dec. 19, 2011. Donations in his memory may be made to St. David of Wales, 5641 Esmond Ave., Richmond 94805. Wilson & Kratzer Mortuary.8

Mrs Mabey died March 21, 1973 in Dallas. Born Nov. 19, 1895 in Hinsdale, she was a daughter of Edwin and Viola Blatchley Davis. She was married to Ross Mabey, who survives.
She also leaves one son, Howard Mabey of Dallas, and three grandchildren.7

Surviving are a son, Howard R. Mabey, and daughter-in-law, Carol, of DeSoto, Tex; one granddaughter, Colleen Grindele of Duncanville, Tex; two grandsons, D. Ross Mabey, Dallas, Tex. and David Mabey, Lancaster, Tex; and one great-grandson, Steven Grindele. Mrs. Mac H. Mabey of Cuba is his sister-in-law.
Services were held at the David Clayton Funeral Chapel in Duncanville on March 3. Memorials may be made to the Franklinville Masonic Lodge No. 626.8

"Alfred Edward Ballin and Miss Florence Holloway Mabie were married at 8 o'clock last evening in the Church of the Ascension, which was handsomely decorated for the occasion. The Reverend George B. Richards performed the ceremony, in the presence of a large number of guests. Rodney D. Hall acted as best man and the ushers were Frank Summerville, Worthington Graves, Edgar Hills and James Stafrum of Milwaukee. The bride was attended by Miss Annie Powell as maid of honor, who wore a gown of pink and carried pink and white sweet peas. The bridesmaids were Miss Cecelia Plummer and Miss Alice Potter. They were prettily gowned in embroidered batiste, trimmed with lace and carried bouquets of pink sweet peas. Mrs. Mabie wore a black lace costume, with silver applique and the bridegroom's mother wore a gown of black crepe de chine. A small reception followed at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mortimer M. Mabie, in Elmwood avenue. White and green were the decorations used at the bride's table, which was laid with fourteen covers. Mr. and Mrs. Ballin will be at home after August 1st at No. 188 West Utica street. The out-of-town guests were Mrs. John Ormsbee of Utica. George B. Holloway of Detroit, Webster B. Mabie of New York and Mrs. Henry Voman of New Jersey."3
