Grace was the daughter of Carl Munson Maybee and Ida L Fullerton, and was born at Slate Hill 22 years ago last January 22. She was married, Sept 29, 1897. Clarence Maybee is a brother and Ida Isabelle Maybee a sister. Mrs Mapes was remarkably calm at the approach of death, and made her funeral arrangements, and named her baby boy Samuel.5 |

(Witness) oObit | 9 June 1938 | Ida Isabelle Maybee was mentioned in the obituary of Carl Munson Maybee on 9 June 1938 at Middletown, Orange County, New York; Carl Munson Maybee, breeder of fancy poultry who exhibited in Madison Square Garden and all parts of New York state, died yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs J. Wesley Thorn, in the town of Wallkill. Born in Great Valley June twenty-first 1855, Mr. Maybee was a son of Abram and Louisa Munson Maybee. Sixty three years ago he married Ida Fullerton, who died in 1931 Mr Maybee, a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Middletown, manufactured felt hats for a number of years, and it was after his retirement that he began to raise poultry. He had been a resident of Middletown sixty-seven years He is survived by his daughter, Mrs Thorn and two grandsons, a great grandson and two sisters, Mrs E. G. Platt of Middletown and Mrs E. F. Haight of Newburgh. Funeral Services will be held in the Burnett Funeral home at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow. The Rev. Harold S Andress will officiate, and burial will be in Slate Hill cemetery.7 |
