oObit20 April 1934  On 20 April 1934 at Glasgow, Valley County, Montana, the obituary of Casper Oberg Mabee read: Funeral services for Casper Mabee, 25, who died in a local hospital Saturday morning, were held in the Peterson chapel at 4 Monday afternoon. The Rev. Charles Gray Miller of the First Congregational church officiated and burial was in the Glasgow Cemetery.
Pallbearers, all friends and schoolmates of Mr. Mabee, were Victor Smith, Sid Erickson, Harris Smith, James Christinson, Charles Cotton and Sidney Cotton.
Mr. Mabee was born near Sacred Heart, Minnesota, and had been living on the W. R. Mabee ranch since he was 8 years old. He attended elementary and high schools here and later was a student at Montana State college for several years.
The past year he had been in Los Angeles. His health had been poor for some time. He recently returned to Montana.
Mr. Mabee is survived by four brothers, William, Ludwig and Phillip Oberg of Glasgow, and John Oberg, who lives in Minnesota, and three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Erbe of Bismarck, North Dakota; Mrs. Bruce McDowell of Los Angeles and Alma Oberg of Los Angeles.6 
Burial* He was buried at Highland Cemetery, Glasgow, Valley County, Montana. Inscription "Casper Oberg Mabee; 1909 - 1934."7
