Barb was a member of the former Walsingham United Church and U.C.W. Barb's legacy is her love and care for her family. She was caregiver to her late husband George for a long period of time. Predeceased by her beloved husband George Mabee (April 21, 1999). Also predeceased by her first husband Harvey E. Myke (December 5, 1980). Survived by children: Chancey (Marti) Myke of Tillsonburg, Rose Myke of Simcoe, James Mabee of Simcoe, Wayne (Muriel) Mabee of Delhi, and Helen Mabee (George Johnson) of Simcoe. Loving grandma of 5 grandchildren: Morgan (Kyle) Mayo, Jeffery (Catrina) Myke, Jason (Michael) Mabee, Harvey (Georgina) Mabee, Walter Mabee, and 9 great-grandchildren. Survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by her parents Andrew James Sargent and the former Doris (Woods) Sargent. Also predeceased by step-sons, Larry Mabee (1961) and Don Mabee (July 30, 2015), and a daughter Jane Myke (2014). Public Visitation is Tuesday, January 16th, from 10am to 11am at the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes-Burial and Cremation Services Inc, 40 Queen Street, Langton. Funeral Service to celebrate Barbara's life to be conducted on Tuesday at 11am in the funeral home chapel by Rev. Ward Taylor of Simcoe. Inurnment to follow in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Walsingham. Memorial donations are to "Diabetes Canada" or "Children's Health Foundation."2 |
