Born Nov. 19, 1925, in Sharon, Mrs. Maybee was a daughter of John and Margaret Rector Fout. She was a 1943 graduate of Hickory High School, worked as a dental assistant during World War II in Camp Reynolds and as secretary for Salem Township for 38 years before retiring in December 2009. As a member North Salem United Methodist Church for more than 50 years, Mrs. Maybee taught Sunday school and with her love of the Lord and music, played piano for service. She loved to read, found pleasure working in her flower beds and enjoyed watching birds migrate through the area, identifying species and studying their habits. Her husband, Leroy S. Maybee, whom she married Aug. 29, 1946, preceded her in death May 10, 1997. Survivors include: two sons and a daughter, Leroy E. Maybee and his wife Debra, Grove City; Fred E. Maybee and his wife Joni, Hadley; and Carol M. Baker and her husband Lewis, Elwood, Ind; seven grandchildren, Derek and Matthew Maybee; Melissa Pearce; Jeremy and Mitchell Maybee; Caitlin Boyland and her husband Greg; and Nathaniel Baker; two great-grandchildren, Jysseca Pearce and Darius Dempsey; two great-great-grandchildren, Reagyn Edwards and Gauge Edwards; a brother, Eugene Fout, Sharpsville; a sister, Virginia Foltz, Burghill, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Mrs. Maybee was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Theodore Maybee; two brothers, Harold Fout and Richard Fout; and a sister, Margaret "Peg" Miller. The interment will be at the Stevenson Cemetery, Salem Township.2 |

James is survived by his wife, Shirley; daughters, Cathy (Glenn) Morris of Sharon; and Brenda (Brian) Scurpa of Sharpsville; sister, Pauline Jones of Clark; nephew, William (Melissa) Jones; sisters-in-law, Joyce Gerrish and Norma Minner; grandchildren, Glenn (Marissa), Ryan, Ellen, Alyssa (Adam), and Brock and his companion Edward; great-grandchildren, Grace and Lili and one more on the way. Entombment will be held at St. John's Cemetery Mrs. Salmon was born in Lyons, New York on February 4, 1933 the daughter of Cyril and Paulyne Webber Mabie. Rosemarie earned her degree from William Smith College in Geneva. She married John Salmon and raised four children. Rosemarie had worked at Parker Hannifin and then as an X-ray tech at Lyons Hospital. She retired from the Human Resource Department at Newark Wayne Community Hospital. An active member of St. John's Church she led the RCIA program, chaired the Parish Council, and was a lector and Communion Minister. She would often host meetings in her own home. For the last 24 years she devoted herself to her son Randy as his caregiver. Mrs. Salmon is survived by three sons Kirk, Douglas and Randall; a daughter Stacy Salmon , three grandchildren, four great -grandchildren; and a sister, Priscilla Paliotti. She was predeceased by her husband, John and two sisters Geraldine Burnham and Catherine VanHall.3 | |

They were also founders of Burnhams Hidden Treasures and known in the community as "the" antique dealers. A long time member of St. Michael Church, she served on the Rosary Altar Society. She was also a member of the Wayne County Historical Society, the Wayne County Antique Society and served on the Wayne County Board of Election. Mrs. Burnham loved her husband, children and grandchildren and always looked forward to spending time with them. Mrs. Burnham will be remembered by her loving husband of 58 years, Robert W. Burnham; sons: Thomas (Gail), Marcus, David (Terri), Jonathan, Gerald, Bradford (Betty) and "Buster" (Robert Basil) Burnham; daughters: Cynthia (Paul) Preedeedilok, Laure (Larry) Hironimus and Mary Grace Schmidt; 13 grandchildren; sisters: Kathryn VanHall, Rosemarie Salmon and Priscilla (Robert) Paliotti; and many nieces and nephews.5 |
