Born in Jamestown, NY, he was the son of the late Stacy N. Rowley, Sr. and Cecile (Mabee) Rowley. After earning his B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Syracuse University and his M.S. in the same field from Arizona State University, he worked in the areas of scientific programming, operations research, and management sciences for several major corporations: Atlas, DuPont, Oscar Mayer, and Air Products. Stacy served as a lieutenant in the United States Army. From an early age, Stacy loved tennis. He played tennis for fun and in tournaments, strung racquets, and originated and ran tournaments. He coached the mens tennis team at Muhlenberg College for four years and the girls team at Parkland High School for two seasons, and also taught privately. To paraphrase Albert Schweitzer, he would agree that there are three means of refuge from the miseries of life: music, cats, and tennis. Survivors: Stacy is survived by his wife of 51 years, Barbara O. Rowley; by numerous nephews and nieces; and by his cat, Wiggles. Services: Services are private and at the convenience of the family. Friends and family who wish to celebrate his life are welcome to gather at his home at 3114 West Liberty St., Allentown on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, between 7 and 9 p.m.2
