Mrs. Hammond was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late Charles and Rose (Maybee) Sawyer. She was a life resident. She was the wife of the late John V. Hammond, who died in 1984. Mrs. Hammond had formerly been employed at the Long's Candy Works in Oswego. She loved plants and gardening. Mrs. Hammond was a communicant of St. Paul's Church. She is survived by 4 sons, John (Bridget Murray) Hammond of Zephyrhills, Fla., Gary (Debra) Hammond of Oswego, William (Tammy) Hammond of Oswego, and Daniel Hammond of Oswego; 9 grandchildren, John, Chrissy, Tom, Michelle, Jill, Eric, Samantha, Nathan, and Abbe; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 Tuesday, in St. Paul's Church Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 Monday, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 East Second St., Oswego Contributions can be made to the American Lung Association.5 |
