The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at the Fellows home, Elder Geo Ruston officiating, and the interment was held in Halcott Center Cemetery.5 |

Ladies Auxiliary and the Dover United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Stone Church Grange, the Dover Ladies Bowling League and the Pawling Square dancing group. She also enjoyed picnics, especially at the "cabin" and the ocean. Mrs. Benson was also an avid reader. In addition to her loving husband of 69 years, Mrs. Benson is survived by four daughters, Candace Dodge Benson of Larchmont, NY, Faye Garito and her husband, John of Poughquag, NY, Melanie LaPierre and her husband, James of Dover Plains, NY and Heather Manning and her husband, Thomas of Pleasant Valley, NY and a sister-in-law, Fannie Benson Telfer of Pleasant Valley, NY. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Michael LaPierre, Ryan Manning, Christopher Garito and Kimberlee Manning Hicks and one great-grandson, John Chianfagna, III. Besides her parents, Mrs .Benson was predeceased by her sisters, Bernice Fowler Dodge and Florine Dodge Telfer and a brother, Earl Clarence Dodge. Calling hours will be held from 3-7 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2015 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Rout 22, Dover Plains, NY. Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at the Dover United Methodist Church, 26 Mill St. Dover Plains, NY.
