Mabie was born in Putnam county, New York, April 20th, 1834, and was consequently in the 62d year of her age. Jan 6th 1858, she was married to C. H. Mase and immediately thereafter the young couple came west, locating at Oshkosh, where they remained eleven years, and for the next thirteen years the family lived on a farm in Eden, Fond du Lac county.
