Mr. Rice is survived by his mother, Mrs. Jennie Rice, the three brothers above mentioned, and one sister, Irene. He was 28 years old and had worked a number of years at the institution for the blind on Harvard st, this city. Burial was at Cambridge cemetery. Among the floral tributes was a large pillow from the sister and brothers and a spray from Miss Bertha and Geneva King.1,4 |

Funeral from his father's residence 9 Granville St. today Thursday at 2.30 p.m. 16 Sep 1920, The Charlottetown Guardian CHESTER CURTIS The funeral of the late Chester Curtis, who died last Wednesday in the P. E. Island Hospital after an eight days' illness of peritonitis, was held on Thursday last from the residence of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Curtis, 9 Granville Street to the People's Cemetery, Rev. George Taylor conducted the services at the house and grave. The large attendance at the funeral bespoke the sympathy felt for the bereaved parents in the loss of their only son. The deceased, who was only eighteen years of age, had almost completed his course at the Charlottetown Business College, when he was seized with the illness which laid him low, to the deep regret of many friends in this city. He leaves to mourn besides his sorrowing parents, two sisters, Mrs. Neil Walker of Charlottetown, and Miss Gladys Curtis.3,1 |
