  Married: Mr. and Mrs. Hanson D. Mabie, upper Steadwell Avenue, announce the marriage of their daughter, Alethea Kathryn, to Private Richard Martin Vedder, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry L. Vedder, 58 Arnold Avenue, which took place Sunday, July 19, at 12:30 o'clock in the Baldwin Memorial Chapel of the Second Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Dr. Frank T. Rhoad officiating. A civil ceremony was previously performed March 28, 1942. The bride wore a pale blue jersey dress with black accessories and a shoulder bouquet of white orchids, roses and swainsona tied with white ribbons. Her .attendant, Miss Ann HallaIre, was gowned in white jersey with pink accessories and wore a shoulder bouquet of white orchids and roses tied with pink ribbons. Private Stewart K. Brice was the best man and the Bride's brother, David Mabie, acted as usher. The bride's mother was dressed a in black with black accessories, while the bridegroom's mother wore white with white accessories. A reception for forty guests followed at the Tower Inn. Both Mr. and Mrs. Vedder are graduates of the Wilbur H. Lynch Senior High School and were employed by the Market Hill Food Center until the bridegroom's induction in the Army. He is now stationed at Aberdeen, Md.
