  Married: Miss Helen Marilyn Mabie, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. William A. Mabie, 280.Guy Park Avenue, became the bride of Bruce Judson Firkins Jr.. Schenectady, son of Mr. and Mrs, Bruce J. Firkins. Ames. Ia., Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock in the Second Presbyterian Church in a ceremony performed by the Rev. Dr. Frank T. Rhoad.... Mrs. Edwin Hutchinson, Cambridge, Mass., attended the bride as matron of honor and the bridesmaids were Mrs. Robert Dunning, Buffalo, Miss Yvonne Cameron. Shaker Heights, O., and Miss Margaret DeGraff and Miss Marcia Conover, this city. Dr. Mabie gave his daughter in marriage. Mr. Firkins was his son's best man. Acting as ushers were William J. Mabie, Cincinnati, O.. brother of the bride, and Charles R. Brotherton. Bruce R. Holl and Donald.E. Matthews, Schenectady, fraternity brothers of the bridegroom and fellow Iowa State College graduates.... The ceremony was follower1 by a reception at the Century Club.... For traveling on a northern trip into Canada, the bride chose a suit of cranberry Summer wool with navy blue accessories and wore a corsage of white orchids. Mr. and Mrs. Firkins will be at home after August 1 at 21 North Ferry Street, Schenectady. The bride is a graduate of the Wilbur H. Lynch Senior High School, attended the Knox School at Cooperstown and received her degree from Skidmore College. Saratoga Springs. A graduate of Ames High School and Iowa State College, Ames, Ia..
