  	Funeral services will be held here Wednesday for Charles V. Furness, former owner and publisher of the Glens Falls Times, who died in a Utica hospital yesterday after a long illness. He was 78. Furness became manager of the Glens Falls Times in 1907 and purchased the Evening Daily 10 years later. He sold the newspaper in 1927 to the Glens Falls Post Co., which also publishes the morning Star-Post. He retained the Times job-printing business and reorganized it as the Spotlight Program Co., which he operated until he retired in 1952. A native of Gloversville, Furness is survived by his wife, the former Margaret Mabee, Saratoga Springs

  	Charles V. Furneas. president of the Glens Falls Publishing Company, owner of the Glens Falls Daily Times, and Miss Margaret Nostrand Mabee, of Saratoga Springs, were married last night at 7 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas William Maybee, 54 Circular street. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Irving G. Roulllard, rector of Bethesda Episcopal church. The bride's sister, Mrs. C. H. Ranulf Compton, was matron of honor, and J. Gilbert Cool, of Glens Falls, was best man. The bridesmaids were Mrs. McKennan Daube and Mrs. George C. Reynard, of New York.
