- Friends in Catskill have received word of the death on Tuesday in New Haven, Conn, of George W. Mabee, chairman of the board of directors of the National Folding Box Company. Mr. Mabee died in New Haven Hospital. He was 70 years old. He is survived by his wife, the. former Blanche Wiley, daughter of the late Gen. and Mrs. W. S.C. Wiley of Catskill, a daughter Eleanor M. Mabee, three sisters, Mrs. William F. Broome of Knoxville, Tenn., Mrs. Ranulf Chapman of Madison and Mrs. Charles V. Furness of Northville, three brothers, D. Walter of Saratoga, Alfred L. of Albany, and David W. of New Haven
Mrs. Mabee, when a resident of Catskill, lived with her parents in the home now occupied by St. Joseph's Villa, then a show place of Prospect avenue. Burial will be in Saratoga on Friday

- New Haven, May 8 – Mrs Blanche Wiley Mabee, 71, died at her Edgehill Avenue home today.
She was the widow of George W Mabee, one time president and chairman of the board of the National Folding Box Company who died in 1948.
Mrs Mabee was a native of Catskill, NY, but had lived in this city (New Haven) since her marriage in 1904. At one time she was vice president if the Bull Terrier Club of America.
She leaves a daughter, Miss Eleanor Mabee, of this city.
Funeral services will be held here Wednesday, with burial in Saratoga Springs, NY.
