  	Marie Eugenie Compton, 92, of Madison, wife of the late Douglass M. Compton, passed away Thursday, (December 18, 2008) at her home. Born in Manhattan on February 16, 1916 she is the daughter of the late Paul G. and Dorothy C. (Hoag) Thebaud. She is survived by her children Nathalie Logan of Madison, Eugenie French of West Haven and Douglass M. Jr. of West Hartford; seven grandchildren and five great grand children. She is also survived by her sisters Cynthia Twining of Old Lyme, Nathalie Lewis of Flint Hill, VA and Renee Wilson of Old Lyme. She was a longtime member of the Madison Beach Club, Madison Winter Club and the Garden Club of Madison. She was a graduate of Miss Porter's School, Class of 1933. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 23 at 11 a.m. at St. Margaret's Church, Academy Street, Madison. There are no calling hours and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Middlesex Hospital, Office of Philanthropy, 28 Crescent St. Middletown, CT 06457. Swan Funeral Home of Madison has charge of arrangements.
