- Beth J. Mabie, 82, passed away Dec. 3, 2008. Survived by her husband of 64 years, Harold E. Mabie; children, Van R. (Karen) Mabie of San Diego, Calif., and Leslie G. (Tom) Towner of Lakewood, Colo.; nieces and nephews, Paula Sexton, Mike (Karen) Sexton, Kathy (Bob) Rodan, Kent Sexton and Scott (Darla) Sexton; and nine grand-nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her brother, William Sexton, in 2005. Beth was born to William and Ruth Sexton on Aug. 29, 1926, in Pueblo. She was an LPN in the recovery room at St. Mary-Corwin Hospital for 22 years and was an incredible homemaker and mother. She also was a Girl Scout leader for many years. Beth loved flower gardening and was an avid reader. She also enjoyed spending time at the family cabin in San Isabel. There will be no viewing or services. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. The family respectfully requests the omission of food and flowers. Memorials may be made to Sangre de Cristo Hospice through Montgomery & Steward.
