  	Our loving husband and father Roderick McLeod Maybee, III passed away Monday September 1 at the age of 65. A long-time resident of Seabrook, Texas, he recently moved to Baton Rouge. Rod was devoted to his family, friends and church. Together with his wife Kathleen they raised four children. Born to Roderick and Ruby Maybee on December 27, 1948, he is survived by his wife of 28 years Kathleen Maybee, his father Roderick Maybee, his daughter Wendy Murillo and husband Alberto, his son Jimmy Allred and wife Connie, his daughter Heather Robinson and husband Mike, his son Roddy Maybee and wife Lesli, his brother Miles Maybee, his six grandchildren, Cole, Kayla, Lilli, Lucas, Reese and Ruby and a host of loving family members. He was preceded in death by his mother Ruby Maybee. Rod worked for Shell Oil Co. in various positions in purchasing for 23 years and he retired from FMC Technology. He has enjoyed his time of retirement with his loving wife by touring the U.S. in their motorhome and traveling abroad. Rod also enjoyed music, LSU football and spending time with his family and friends. Visiting hours will be observed at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Friday, September 5, 2014 from 10:00 am until service time. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm.

  	Our loving mother, Kathleen Maybee Hebert, passed away Friday April 28 at the age of 67.  Kathleen lovingly raised and adored 4 children.  Born to Edward and Janet Huber on December 7, 1955, she is survived by her daughter Wendy Murillo, her son Jimmy Allred and his wife Connie, her daughter Heather Robinson and her husband Mike, and her son Roddy Maybee and his wife Lesli, her eight grandchildren, Cole, Kayla, Lilli, Lucas, Reese, Ruby, Liam and Lucy, her stepmother Norma Huber, her brothers Carl and Ed Huber, her sister Sandy Oneillion and spouse Kelly, and a host of loving family members.  She was proceeded in death by her husband Rod Maybee, her mother Janet Huber, and her father Edward Huber.  Kathleen worked and retired from Shell Oil Company in the field of accounting.  Kathleen’s Christian faith was an essential part of her life.  She rarely missed her Sunday service at Healing Place church and enjoyed serving in many roles there.  She has enjoyed her time in retirement traveling both abroad and within the US.  Kathleen was also a wonderful cook and loved to share her cooking with family and friends.  While she will be missed by many, we are thankful she is again in the arms of her husband and the love of her life.  Visiting hours will be observed at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on May 1 from 9am until service time at 11am.  Family and friends may sign the online memorial, leave a personal note to family, or order flowers at www.resthavenfuneralhome.com
