- S.L. Mabee, 96, Brookfield, died Monday, April 30, 2012, at Pershing Memorial Hospital, Brookfield.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home, Brookfield, with Rev. Ron Routledge officiating. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the family receiving friends from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery, Brookfield.

Suffrenus Loren was born February 16, 1916, in Unionville, son of Oscar and Martha (Earhart) Mabee. He married Reva Hudson on February 5, 1938. She preceded him in death July 3, 2009.
Mr. Mabee was retired from APAC Construction Company. He was a 50-year member of Hartford, Missouri Masonic Lodge #171.
Survivors include his grandson and wife, Andrew and Laura Spidle, Overland Park, Kan.; one great-grandson, Grayson Spidle, Overland Park, Kan.; a son-in-law, Stanley Spidle, Brookfield; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Spidle; and two sisters, Beva Howe and Mary Miller.
