- George Whitfield Mabie, who died suddenly in his apartments at the Hotel Seymour, Manhattan, on Tuesday, in his 71st year, will be buried tomorrow afternoon from Plymouth Church, of which he was an old member and a trustee at the time of his death. His funeral services will be conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Dr. Newell Dwight Hillis, and. the interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Mr. Mabie was born in Brooklyn and lived here most of his lifetime, for fifty years on Herkimer street. He spent most of the summers at Lake Placid, where he had a summer home. He. moved to Manhattan about two years ago. He was one of the oldest members of the old Union League Club, now out of existence. Mr; Mabie was one of the pioneers of the gold pen and fountain pen industry in this country and was president of the firm of Mabie, Todd & Co., in Manhattan, until he retired from business, a few years ago. when he was made vice president of the company. He is survived by his wife. Ann F., and a daughter, Mrs. William Spicer.
