- Margaret Hall passed away suddenly at the Rockyview Hospital on January 5, 2000 at the age of 92 years. Marge was born on December 6, 1907 in Ellisboro, SK and together with her first husband, Bill Mabee, raised a family of five children in Stoughton. She later resided in Weyburn doing what she loved most - working in the ladies dress shop as a seamstress and saleslady. She moved to Calgary with her husband Bill Hall in 1970 where she resided until her death. Marge will be lovingly remembered by her husband Bill, four sons: Mel Mabee, Hugh Mabee, Glenn (Jeanette) Mabee, Allan (Phyllis) Mabee, one daughter Lynette (Norman) Paarup, 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister, Ruth Neidens. She was predeceased by granddaughter Marcia, great granddaughter Stacie and great grandson Michael. Funeral service was held at Leyden's 'Chapel of Remembrance', Calgary, on Saturday, January 8 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Remo Madsen officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined but for those who wish, donations may be made directly to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation, 1825 Park Road SW, Calgary, AB T2G 3Y6. Interment to follow at a later date in Weyburn. Arrangements in care of Leyden's Funeral Homes.

- Susan Diane (Mabee) Carlson Susan's family and many friends were saddened by the passing of Susan on Sunday, July 22, 2001 at the Pasqua Hospital after a ten month courageous battle with cancer, her family by her side. Susan was born March 30, 1951 in Weyburn and attended Elgin, Assiniboia, and Weyburn Collegiate, graduating in 1979. In 1980 she married Wayne Carlson and moved to Calgary, AB where Tanya Dawn and Chadwick Preston were born. Susan later moved back to Weyburn where she worked as a steno at the Sask. Hospital. In 1979 Susan moved to Regina and has worked at Sask Power for 22 years. While working there she took many university classes and was president of the Sask Power Social Club for many years. Susan was very active in many sports, playing softball in Weyburn and Regina, curling out of the Highland Curling Club, loved golf, challenging her brothers, sister, aunts and many friends. Susan did a lot of travelling and enjoyed going to the Sky Dome and Minneapolis to see her favorite Blue Jays. Susan was predeceased by her sister Marcia, June 4, 1992, her grandparents Irene and Reg Metheral, Margaret Hall, William Mabee. Susan leaves to mourn her daughter Tanya of Edmonton, AB; son Chad (Andrea), Regina; her mother and father Glenn and Jeanette Mabee, Weyburn; sister Debbie May (Dean Brown), Regina; brothers: Jim (Shelley) Mabee, Regina; Guy (Marilyn) Mabee, La Ronge; nieces: Jocelynn May, Calgary, AB; Leah (Chris) Sterling, Regina; Kimberley Mabee, La Ronge; nephews: Trevor May and Wade Mabee, Regina; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friend Dwight Gettle. Funeral service was held at First Presbyterian Church, Regina, with the Rev. John Ferrier officiating. A fine memorial tribute to Susan was written by Susan's aunt Lynette Paarup and read by Lynette's husband Norm. Interment followed in Hillcrest Cemetery, Weyburn, beside her sister Marcia. The Rev. John Ferrier's many visits to Susan's home and hospital room were a great comfort to her and her family. Pallbearers were Ron Endicott, Ray Lunn, Larry Hart, Brian Helfrick, Lyn Reynolds, and Jim Tretiak.

- Glenn R. Mabee late of Weyburn, Saskatchewan passed away April 30, 2022 at the age of 91 years. Glenn was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Marge (Bell) Mabee; in laws, Reg and Irene Metheral; his adored daughters, Susan Carlson and Marcia Mabee; brother, Mel Mabee; brothers & sisters in law, Richard (Isabelle) Frerichs, Jim (Lorna) Metheral, Joe (Helen) Neuberger and Lois Clarke. Glenn is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 72 years, Jeanette Mabee of Weyburn, SK; daughter, Debbie (Dean) May of Weyburn, SK; son, Jim (Shelley) Mabee of Regina, SK; son, Guy (Marilyn) Mabee of Saskatoon, SK; grandchildren, Joceylnn May, Trevor May, Tanya Carlson, Chad Carlson (Andrea), Leah Sterling, Wade Mabee (Ashley), Kim Mabee (Aaron); great grandchildren, Maysen, Nicholas, Brayden, Blayke and Presley; brothers, Hugh Mabee, Allan Mabee (Phyllis); sister, Lynette Paarup (Norm) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives & friends. Glenn was born February 24, 1931 in Stoughton and moved to Weyburn where he met and married Jeanette on July 8, 1949. Together they built a busy and fulfilled life in this city. Glenn had numerous interests and passions. One of his greatest passions was his work at the Weyburn Mental Hospital. His career as a Psych nurse started in 1949 and lasted 40 years where many of his co-workers became life-long friends. Along with work at the hospital, he also pursued another career- farming. His love for the farm and the land lasted his whole life. It was well known to family and friends that Glenn had a great love and talent for sports. He played hockey, ball and especially loved to curl, enjoying many bonspiels in Weyburn and surrounding towns. He passed this passion of sports onto his children through coaching countless games and watching in the stands as their biggest fan. Many cherished times were spend on trips to the Minneapolis ball park, Dunedin ball park, Brier events and of course, Taylor Field. Glenn's greatest love was for his family. In spite of shift work and farm work in his younger years, he managed to make time for his large and growing family. Family celebrations were of great importance and seldom missed. Glenn was grateful for his full and blessed life and his family and friends were blessed to share that life with him. A Graveside Service was held on Friday, May 6, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Hillcrest Cemetery, Weyburn, Saskatchewan with a Funeral Lunch & Fellowship that followed at Knox Hall from 2:00 ~ 4:00 PM.
