  	George Nelson Maybee, Master of Choristers of St. George's Cathedral Choir of Kingston, Ontario, for 24 years; Fellow of the Royal School of Church Music and one of two scholars of Anglican Church Music in North America; organizer and director of the Anglican Congress Choir which sang in Toronto; director of the first non-British Choir ever to sing in Westminster Abbey. The poet sang of those "Whose lovely ambition Was that their lips, still touched with fire, Sould tell of the Spirit clothed From head to foot in song.". You, sir, our talented Northern neighbor, have clothed successive scores of men and boys from head to foot in song. You have taught them how to pitch their praises heavenward, knowing that man's greatest glory is in lauding God's glory, as his greatest joy lies in his song, Your choristers' paeans have mellowed the proud valtings of cathedrals, they have exalted the hearts of the humble and meek. Acclaimed by your peers, honored in the presence of your Queen, receive, by the authority of the Board of Trustees, the accolade of our Colleges and become our Doctor of Humane Letters, honoris causa.
