- Theodore L. Mabee, 80, of rural Mackinaw, a retired electrician, died at 6:55 a.m. yesterday (May 26, 1988) at Pekin Memorial Hospital, Pekin, where he had been a patient since May 23.
His funeral will be Tuesday at Deer Creek Baptist Church, with Rev Tom Cone officiating. Burial will be in Glendade Memorial Gardens, Pekin....
Mr Mabee was born April 8, 1908 in Deer Creek, a son of Marshall and Laura Swesey Mabee. He married Helen Stack on June 30, 1933 She died Dec 18, 1980. He married Alma Dell Sellers on Aug 11, 1967, at Bloomington. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Janet Rassi, Morton, and Katherine Rubley, Paducah, Ky; two brothers, Chester, East Peoria, and Stanley, Pekin; one sister Launa Miller, Carson, Wash; two stepdaughters, Sharon Golden, Pekin, and Susan Paul, Chicago; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren, and two step great-grandchildren.
Four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Mr Mabee, who had lived in the Mackinaw area since 1938, was a retired electrician and a member of Local 314 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was employed by the Pekin Abstract & Title Co.
He was a member of the Deer Creek Baptist Church.

- Alma Delle Mabee, 91, of Pekin passed away at 11:45 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at Pekin Hospital in Pekin.
She was born on Aug. 4, 1916, in Pekin, Ill., to John and Imogene (Ewing) Elliff. She married Albert Sellers in 1939, and they moved to Hollywood, Calif., where he was employed as a publicity agent for MGM Studios. He preceded her in death. She married Ted Mabee in 1967, and they resided in Mackinaw until his death in 1988.
One daughter, Jayne Johnson; and one stepdaughter, Janet Rassi; two brothers; and one sister preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Shari (Roy) Golden of Pekin and Susan (Dennis) Paul of Chicago, Ill.; one stepdaughter, Kay Sosa of Mackinaw; seven grandchildren; 11 stepgrandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one niece and one nephew; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Alma Delle taught Sunday school for more than 40 years at Deer Creek Baptist Church.
She enjoyed traveling and went to Hawaii, Tahiti, Chicago, Germany, Austria and many other cities.
She was a member of the PEO Sisterhood, Chapter AS, for more than 65 years, and was loved by all her sisters.
She enjoyed Broadway shows and made a yearly trip to Chicago with her daughters and had a large collection of Broadway programs.
Alma Delle attended MacMurry College for two years and then graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in history and social studies.
She taught high school in Mason City for one year. Later she was employed as a supervisor by the Illinois Department of Public Aid for 15 years and then as a recording clerk for Pekin Abstract and Title Company for 22 years.
Alma Delle was an avid reader and an avid Democrat and she enjoyed meeting with the Pekin Democratic Ladies. She was active in the Marine Corps League Auxiliary.
She enjoyed special events with her family and friends, whom she loved so much. Alma Delle was greatly loved by all who met her and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services for Alma Delle will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2008, at Deer Creek Baptist Church. Pastor Henry Miller and Pastor Tom Cone will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 1, 2008, at Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
Memorials may be made to Jayne Johnson Helping Hands Memorial Fund at Richwoods High School or Tazewell Animal Protection Society or to Deer Creek Baptist Church.
