- Mrs. Tommie Mabie, age 57, of 405 Sugar River Parkway, Albany, died Thurs., Jan. 4, 1990, at St. Clare Hospital, Monroe. She was born in Port Arthur, TX, Oct. 5, 1932, the daughter of Elmer and Johnye (Nelson) Davis. She graduated from Corpus Christie High School, Corpus Christie, TX. She was a National Honor Society member On Aug. 4, 1951, she married Ronald Richard Mabie in Corpus Christie. They lived in the Albany area since 1968 and managed Doyan & Rayne Lumberyard until 1982 She was a homemaker for 4 years, until becoming bookkeeper at Krostue Farm Implement in Albany. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Albany, and of T O P.S.
She is survived by her husband, Ron; 3 daughters: Mrs. Terry (Gordon) Klossner of Belleville, IL, Mrs. Georgia (James) Runaas of Kinderhook,, NY, and Rhonda Mabie of Albany; 3 brothers: Elmer, Jr: and John of Corpus Christie, and Charles of Louisiana; 4 sisters: Mrs. Julianna Parr, Mrs. Mary (Leo) McCloskey and Mrs. Wilma (Alvin) Nixon, all of Corpus Christie, and Mrs. Sally (Raymond) Pohl of Horseshoe Bend, AR; and 8 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be Mon., Jan. 8, 1950, at 11:00 a.m. at the FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH, Albany, with Rev. William McIntyre officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Albany
