| Note |
- Jacob Mabee of New York fled to the British lines, thence to the city of New York, where he remained during the war. At the peace of 1783, he retired to St. John, New Brunswick, and thence to St. Stephen, in the same Province, at which place he died about the year 1820, aged upwards of eighty years. His property in New York was confiscated. His son Solomon was impressed into the British Navy, and served during the contest; at its close he went to St. Stephen, but removed to Eastport, Maine, in 1795, and died there in 1828, aged sixty-six years.
