  	Mrs. Alfred Hensel, age 80, of 129 Sherman Ave., Evansville, died Sunday, June 25, 1989 at Evansville Manor, where she had resided the past five months. Beth Jeanette Noyes was born Feb. 9, 1909 in Evansville, the daughter of George and Lulubelle (Mabie) Noyes. She was a graduate of Evansville High School in 1925, attended the University of Wisconsin and was a graduate of Rock County Normal School, Janesville. Beth taught rural schools and was a substitute teacher in Evansville Public Schools. She married Alfred Hensel of Janesville on August 17, 1927. She was a 60-year member of the Congregational-United Church of Christ and a member of Columbia Chapter No. 29, Order of Eastern Star. The Hensels have operated an Antique Shop in Evansville for the past 20 years. Mrs. Hensel is survived by her husband, Alfred of Evansville; three daughters, Shirley (Carroll) Hartl of Madison, Pat (Ken) Kuelz of Evansville, and Georgia (Bob) Hallmark of Janesville; a brother, Ralph Noyes of Naples, FL; a sister, Marion (Robert) Erstad of Evansville and Bonita Springs, FL; 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Veda (Albert) Larsen. Funeral services were held at 2 pm. Tuesday, June 27, at the Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Pirazzini officiating, followed by interment in Maple Hill Cemetery, Evansville. A visitation and Eastern Star service were held Monday evening at Ward Funeral Home. She will be remembered by her family as a very courageous lady with a great sense of humor.
