- Mrs. Flora E. Mabie, 77, of Worcester, a former resident of Schenectady, died unexpectedly at her home Saturday.
Mrs. Mabie, a native of Roseboom, had lived in Schenectady several years before moving to Worcester about a year ago. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Worcester.
Survivors include her husband, Arba Mabie; seven sons, Gifford, and Earl Mabie of Altamont, Robert Mabie of Wappinger Falls, Gerald Mabie of Garden Grove, Calif., William Mabie, U.S. Army, Columbus, Ohio, Donald Mabie of Manlius and DeForest Mabie of Worcester; five daughters, Ruth L. Mabie of Albany, Mrs. Herman Schmiedel of Worcester, Mrs. Elwyn Hoke of Highland, Mrs. John McCardle of Schenectady and Mrs. James Coon of Carlisle. Thirty-five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren also survive.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m.-Wednesday at the Skinner Funeral Home, Worcester. The Rev. Fred Rivenburg, pastor of the United Methodist Church, Schenevus, will officiate. Burial will be m Maple Grove Cemetery, Worcester.

- Arba E. Mabie, 83, of Worcester, a former resident of Schenectady, died unexpectedly at Glenridge Hospital on Saturday. Born in the Town of Roseboom, Mr Mabie had lived in Schenectady many years. He was employed at the General Electric Co. As a machinist, retiring many years ago. Mr Mabie was a member od the Worcester United Methodist Church. His wife was the late Flora Kniffen Mabie.
Survivors include seven sons, Gifford of Altamont, DeForest of Worcester, Earl of Hendersonville, Tenn, Robert of Panama City, Fla, Gerald of Garden Grove, Calif, Tech Sgt William of Columbus, Ohio, and J. Donald Mabie of Manlius; five daughters, Mrs John McCardle of Schenectady, Ruth Mabie of Albany, Mrs Anita Schmiedel of Worcester, Mrs Elwin Hoke of Highland and Mrs James Coon of Sharon Springs; a brother, Door Mabie of Schenectady. Thirty six grandchildren and fifteen grandchildren also survive

- Earl J. Mabie of Palm Harbor, passed away unexpectedly Oct. 18 in Rome, Italy. He was a BM2 in the Navy in WWII. He worked as a mechanical engineer for G. E. Co. For 43 years. He was a 55-year member of Noah Lodge #0454 in Altamont, NY, & Scottish Rites in Nashville, TN. His greatest joy was taking care of his family & helping friends. Survived by his loving wife, Marietta, of 62 years; sons, Earl Jr "Chip" (Heidi), of FL, Jared A., of CA; 4 grandchildren, Michelle Cocca (Jimmy), Rebecca James (Thomas), Jessica and Jody Eric (Shana); sister, Clara McCardle; 2 brothers, William & Deforest James; and 3 sisters-in-law. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Services at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL, Nov 20, 10:30 am.

- Mary Lou Mabie passed away on April 10, 2008 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on December 21, 1932 in Schenectady, New York, to Lloyd Jeffers and Ruth Knightes Jeffers. She was former President of the Shearer Hills Home Owner's Association and was very involved with her community. Mary Lou was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, William S. Mabie; her parents and three sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara A. Brown and husband. Howard; son, James R. Mabie and wife, Nancy; and grandchildren, Jason and Justin Brown, Antonio Braden and Benjamin Mabie. Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at 11:115 AM at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
William S. Mabie passed away on February 17, 2008 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on November 30, 1931 in Scheneuvs, New York to Arba Earl Mabie and Flora Ellen Kniffen Mabie. He served his country honorably, dedicating 25 years of service in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as MSGT He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who is dearly missed. William was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and five brothers. He is survived by his daughter and her husband; son and his wife; sister, Clara McCardle; brother, DeForest James Mabie; and five grandchildren. William was laid to rest on February 22, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, with full Air Force Honors.
