  	Herman Schmiedel, aged 52, of Worcester, died at the Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown on Saturday, October 5, following a long illness. He was born October 29, 1910, at Chichester, the son of Herman and Ella Schmiedel. He married Anita Mabie on November 19, 1934, at Worcester. He had been employed by the Farmers' Feed Company for over 30 years, for the past 19 years in Worcester, moving there from Schenevus. He was a member of the Worcester Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Frank Madl, Jr., of Cobleskill and Mrs. Bradley Ingraham of Warnerville; three sons, Robert of East Worcester, Thomas of Toms River, N. J., and Lynn, at home; nine grandchildren; one brother, Raymond of Schenevus; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. on Tuesday, October 8, from the Skinner Funeral Home in Worcester, with the Rev. Larry H. Saxe, pastor of the Worcester Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery in Worcester
