- Infant Pierre Edward Mabie died Friday night in Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta.
He was born August 13, 1958, in the hospital, the son of Frederick E. and Norma (Edwards) Mabie of Pleasant Brook.
Surviving arc his parents; two brothers, Garry and Larry; a sister, Patti Anne; paternal grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. E. Herbert Mabie of Cobleskill; maternal grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Edwards of Pleasant Brook, and aunts and uncles.
Private funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday in the Ottman Funeral Home in Cherrv Valley. with the Rev. Roy E. Giles of Pleasant Brook Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be later in South Valley Cemetery.

- Mr. Frederick E. Mabie, 78, passed away Sunday, Feb. 13, 2005, at St. Mary's Hospital, Amsterdam.
He was born Oct. 18, 1926, in South Valley, the son of E. Herbert and Mary (Shillipo) Mabie. On Nov. 24, 1946, he married Norma D. Edwards in South Valley. She predeceased him in 1989.He was a self-employed farmer in Roseboom. Later he was owner and operator of the Cargo Gas Station, Canajoharie. He also did carpentry and finishing work in Albany. Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Lori Mabie of Albany, Larry and Patricia Mabie of Fultonville, Rodney and Cindy Mabie of Canajoharie, and Rickke and Brenda Mabie of Ballston Spa; a daughter and son-in-law, Patti and Daniel Gustafson of Cobleskill; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Herbert (Stub) Mabie of Westford; two sisters, Myra Webster of Cherry Valley and Luella Brodie of South Valley; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by a brother, Frank Mabie, in 1997. Funeral services will be held at the Ottman Funeral Home, Cherry Valley, at noon Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005, with the Rev. Alan Miller officiating. Calling hours will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2005, and from 11 a.m. until service time Thursday. Mr. Mabie will be placed in the Ottman Funeral Home vault to await spring burial in the South Valley Cemetery, South Valley. Contributions in Mr. Mabie's memory may be made to any area Hospice. - Gary E. Mabie, 58, passed away suddenly on Friday, May 29, 2009.
Born in Oneonta. NY, he was the son of the late Frederick and Norma Mabie. Gary lived in Albany for most of his life. He had a degree in culinary arts from SUNY Morrisville and was a Chef and Food Service Director, currently working, for Eurest Dining/Compass Group at Capital District Physicians Health Plan. He enjoyed camping and hunting and especially loved vacationing every summer with his family in New Jersey.
Gary was the beloved husband of 37 years to Lori K. Mabie. He was the devoted father of Stephanie (John Wimmer) Mabie and Kimberly Cirigliano. He was the loving brother of Larry (Patty) Mabie, Patti (Dan) Gustafson. Rodney (Cindy) Mabie and Rickke (Michelle) Mabie. Gary was the cherished grandfather of DanaiRose Cirigliano. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday. June 3, 2009 at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home. Interment was in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.

- Larry F. Mabie, 56, of Carlisle Road, died peacefully Saturday evening, December 26, 2009, at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany following a long, courageous battle with complications from Diabetes. He was born in Oneonta, N.Y., October 21, 1953, a son of the late Frederick and Norma (Edwards) Mabie.
Larry was a life resident of the area and was a 1972 graduate of Canajoharie High School. He then obtained his degree in culinary arts at SUNY Cobleskill. He was united in marriage on April 19, 1975, at St. Peter and Paul's Roman Catholic Church in Canajoharie to the former Patricia L. Damico of Canajoharie.
Larry worked in the Maintenance Dept. at Beech-Nut for over 32 years, retiring in 2005, and was also the former owner and operator of M&M Lawn Service in Canajoharie for more than 30 years. He was a 20-plus year member of the Canajoharie Vol. Fire Dept., as well as being a member of the Moose Lodge in Canajoharie, the Eagles and the Canajoharie Fish and Game Club. Larry had a deep passion for hunting and also enjoyed bowling and snowmobile riding.
His loving family includes: his wife of nearly 35 years, Patricia "Patty" Mabie of Canajoharie; his son, Brian "Bubba" Mabie, and wife, Kathy, of Canajoharie; his daughter, Katie Bertani, and husband, Richard, of Saratoga; his brothers, Rodney Mabie and wife Cindy, of Palatine Bridge and Rickke Mabie and wife, Michelle, of Gansevoort; his sister, Patti Gustafson, and husband, Dan, of Roseboom; and his grandchildren, Abbigail Rose Bertani, Athena, Apostolos, Kalliope and Katerina Tsampasis, Brandon and Kimberly Swezey, Dawn Fridenberger and Brad Ramsdell. Five great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and his beloved dog, Buffy, also survive. In addition to his parents, Larry was predeceased by two brothers, Perry and Gary Mabie.
Prayer Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2009, at Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego St., Canajoharie, NY 13317 with Fr. James E. Clark, officiating.
The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday evening from 4 to 7 p.m.t the funeral home.
Contributions in Larry's memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, the American Heart Association, the American Kidney Association, or to a charity of one's choice in care of the funeral home.

The Rev. Myron Tripp, pastor, performed the double ring ceremony in the South Valley Christian church parsonage.
The bride wore a pink brocade taffeta street length dress fashioned with sweetheart neckline and her corsage was .of Talisman roses.
Miss Esther Jensen, Freeport, L. I., school chum of the bride and Frank Mabie, brother of the groom were the honor attendants.
The bride is a graduate of the: Cherry Valley Central school, class of '46 and the bridegroom attended the Cherry Valley school.
After a trip through the northern part of the state, they will reside with the bride's parents
