  	The funeral services for Mrs. Eleanor Mabee, 44, wife of Harold Mabee, were held at the Nunda Funeral Home Monday afternoon, September 21, at two-thirty o'clock. She leaves, beside her husband, a daughter, Eleanor; three sisters, Mrs. James Dougherty, of Los Angeles, Mrs. Florence Ganne and Miss Belle Ashman, of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada; four brothers, William Pakenhan and Percy Ashman, of Moose Jaw, Ontario, Canada, George and Albert Ashman, of Los Angeles. The Eastern Star attended the services in a body. Burial was made in Oakwood

  	Following an illness of just over two weeks duration, Marion Victoria (Mabee) Blakely entered in to rest at Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital, Picton, Wednesday, April 29, 1970. She was the widow of Harry G. Blakely, a former Mayor of Picton and for half a century a prominent businessman of the town. They had marked their 60th wedding anniversary. She was born on May 8, 1865, daughter of Marshall Isaac Mabee and his Wife, Addie Marion Woodrow. She was of U.E.L. ancestry, being a descendant of Asa Werden. (Asa Werden became one of the wealthiest settlers in Prince Edward County. He came to the county penniless but with a shoemakers kit. He was born in Stonington, Connecticut, but family possessions were confiscated by the British and Werden Senior died in a prison ship in New York Harbour. Asa Werden gave each of his fourteen children property. Asa was one of the largest land holders in Prince Edward County and held extensive land throughout the Province) Left to mourn the loss, loving sons Clealan Blakely, Wills Blakely, Woodrow Blakelv Robert Blakely, all of Picton, and John Blakely of Guelph.   	Mr. Harold Mabee of Iroquois Road, Caledonia, died June 6, 1978 in the Avon Nursing Home at the age of 88. Canadian by birth, he had lived in this area for many years. He had been a staff attendant at Craig Colony and lived in Geneseo until a few years ago. He was active in the Masonic Lodge there. Surviving are his wife Florence; one son, Richard, Spencerport; one daughter. Eleanor Schneck, Florida; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Friends called at the Albert Funeral Home on Main Street, Caledonia, where a Masonic service was held Thursday and funeral services on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment was in Mumford Rural Cemetery. Contributions to the United Presbyterian Stone Church in Caledonia will be appreciated

  	A pretty wedding took place Tuesday, Feb. 7, at 4 p. m. at the borne of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Rathbun, Perry Center, when Miss Florence Miller, R. N., of Craig Colony, became the bride of Harold Mabee, formerly of, Nunda, now employed at the colony. The Rev. Ernest Sanderson of Pavilion performed the ceremony in the presence of eleven guests. The bride was attired in an ashes of roses going-away costume with hat to match. She wore a corsage of roses and orchids. Following .the ceremony, a luncheon was served by Mr. and Mrs. Rathbun. Mr. and Mrs. Mabee are spending a brief time in Buffalo and Niagara Falls and upon their return will reside at the Colony. Among the guests present were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Chidsey, Mrs. William Gelser, and Miss Elizabeth Gelser of Nunda, Miss Eleanor Mabee, daughter of the bridegroom, and Mrs. Ernest Sanderson of Pavilion
