He married second Jane Ann Lockwood, daughter of Walter and Martha (Haight) Lockwood, on 12 Mar 1834. Their children were Walter L., Mary L. Walter L., Mary Amelia, and Henrietta. Jacob was buried in the Friends Cemetery, Battle Creek, MI. From New York he received removal certificate March 3, 1939 to Milton, Mich.
