  	Mrs Ellen G (Nell) Mabie, 96, of Villa Loretto, Mount Calvary, died Saturday, Dec 3, 1988. She was born April 17, 1892, the daughter of James and Mary Ann Mahoney Smollen, in Racine, one of 13 children. She moved to Fond du Lac in 1914 after her marriage to Harry W Mabie, Jr. He preceded her in death in 1944. Survivors include two daughters, Marjorie Hegener and her husband Joseph of Pacific Palisades, Calif, and Mrs William J Dunham of Edison, NJ; four sons, Robert H of Neenah, John E of Fond du Lac, Thomas E of Brookfield, and Dr Richard H of Clairmont, Calif; one sister Olive Beix of Racine; 23 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was a member of St Joseph's Church and the Irish History Club. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at St Joseph's Church with the Rev James R Thurman officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
