- This afternoon Mrs. Eliza Ann Hopkins is being buried from the Baptist church. She was a woman of character and had a kindly spirit. She took a dep interest in the religious work of the Baptist church f which she had been a member many years. She also was a leader in the W. C. T. U. movement and faithful in, every duty of
life.
Mrs. Hopkins was born in Patterson in 1823 and died on Tuesday morning of old age—86 years, 6 months and 6 days. Her parents were Samuel and Ruth Bolt Mabie and no children survive her. Her husband, Ira Hopkins, has been dead many years. The burial will be made in the family plot in the Kelley Cemetery. The pall bearers are D. C. Hughson, C. R. Barrett, S. T. Barrett, Freeman Fisher. George E. Anderson and W. C. Carver. Rev.-. A. .P. Fox officiated and Edward Ganong had charge of the funeral.
